Background

Following an internal corporate restructure our client requested a review of their Records Management; in order to ensure delivery of an effective RM across the new organisation.

Venture carried out a number of interviews within the business to clearly understand how the RM service was being used and the business’ future expectations given the organisational changes.

Venture produced a report outlining a number of “quick wins” and more substantial future projects. Two “Future State” options were outlined that described how the service could utilise external service providers and the facilities of their US head office to supplement the onsite RM service; the projects being common to both future states.

In conjunction with this review Venture also provided workshops and mentoring for staff to help understand how to deliver the service.

 

Outcome

As a result of our review the company has been able to target project areas that will assist RM in delivering an efficient service to the business, including:

  • Assurance that record indexes will be clean, correct and accessible
  • Cost and time savings by more fully utilising available resource facilities within the US head office
  • More immediate access to scanned information.
