Venture provided a Service Delivery Manager to an international oil company to facilitate the smooth flow of data management requests from end users within the client's UK operations.

 

Details

The main function of the role was service assurance – ensuring Venture's onsite Data Management Group, also operating on behalf of the client, consistently met (and often exceeded) agreed Service Level targets. The role also dealt with areas in need of improvement.

In addition, the Service Delivery Manager was key to the rapid resolution of service failures and the instigation of solutions to minimise further problems.

The role involved liaising with end users, senior management and external 3rd party suppliers. The goal was to reduce the time taken from end users' requests for access to information, through the identification of requirements for Information Services and negotiations with suppliers to implement their solutions cost effectively.
